At Iron City Business Academy, we believe far too many students are leaving high school without passion. Without goals. Without a plan for the future. And where does that leave them? In a word: lost.
You see, most top-performing high school students will attend college, and their mentors, teachers, and guidance counselors pour a lot of energy into helping those young people get into the right schools and on their way toward achieving their goals.
But there are many other students who don’t get that kind of attention or guidance. So they leave high school without an understanding of what’s out there, where they want to go, and what they want to be.
So, in addition to a high-quality, academically rigorous education, we focus on internships, career and technical education, entrepreneurship, and career exploration. We pair solid academics with individually prescribed learning experiences that allow kids to find their passion and make a plan to become successful citizens and leaders.
Our students have the opportunity to delve into career clusters, beginning with It Support and Service, empowering them to uncover their passions, define their aspirations, and shape their future identities.
We're proud to collaborate with Big Picture Learning for our internship framework, align with Teach Like A Champ for our pedagogical approach, and Grow with Google for our industry credential coursework. This synergistic blend of experiential learning and strategic instruction ensures that our students are well-equipped with clarity and direction long before they hold their diplomas in hand.
Forging Foundations. Igniting Passions.
Unfortunately, too many young people end up in a career somewhat by accident. Maybe they didn’t know what careers were out there and they certainly weren’t given the opportunity to research their options early on.
At Iron City Business Academy, we’re going to change this dynamic. We’re going to give each and every student a solid academic foundation to build upon. We’re also going to help them explore their world, look into their future, and find their passion. Because when students are given the opportunity to pursue a career they are passionate about, they are given the opportunity to lead happy, fulfilling lives.
